Pixie Stix Jello Shot Recipe - If You Like the Candy You'll Love the Jello Shot

When we were growing up my sister's favorite candy was Pixie Stix.  I may be a chocolate lover but not my sister.  When I first learned of this drink I immediately thought of her and adapted the recipe for Jello Shots.  My sister loves the drink.  I hope you will, too.

What you will need to make the
Pixie Stix Jello Shot recipe:

2 ounce clear souffle cups or something to hold your Jello Shots
non-stick cooking spray (if desired)
3 ounce box of Kraft Grape flavored Jello
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold 7-up
1/4 cup Bacardi Limon Rum
1/4 cup Blue Curacao liqueur
1/4 cup Triple Sec
splash of Sweet & Sour Mix
Pixie Stix - to coat the Jello Shot cup rims

If you will be using souffle cups to make your Pixie Stix Jello Shots I recommend preparing them by lightly coating the inside of each cup with non-stick cooking spray. This will make the Pixie Stix Jello Shots slide out easily. If you choose to use another type of container for your Pixie Stix Jello Shot recipe you can skip this step.

You will need to prepare your Jello Shot cups before beginning to make the Pixie Stix Jello Shot recipe.  Empty the Pixie Stix candy tubes into a small bowl.  Dip the rim of your Jello Shot cups into water and then immediately dip each Jello Shot cup into the Pixie Stix powder to coat the rim of the cup with Pixie Stix candy.

To begin making the Pixie Stix Jello Shot recipe you will need to combine the Grape Jello and boiling water in a bowl. Stir the mixture for two minutes, making sure all of the Jello has dissolved.

To create the Pixie Stix candy flavor add the remaining ingredients (except the Pixie Stix candy - that is for the cup rims) and stir well.  Pour the Pixie Stix Jello Shot mixture into Jello Shot cups and place in the refrigerator for several hours until firmly set. This recipe should allow you to create about 12 Pixie Stix Jello Shots in 2 ounce cups.
