Lemon Drop Jello Shot Recipe - A Great Candy in a Jello Shot

I promised a daily Jello Shot recipe when I started this blog but unfortunately some things are beyond my control - like computer problems.  To keep my promise I will post two seperate Jello Shot recipes today to make up for the lack of a Jello Shot recipe yesterday.  Here is yesterday's Jello Shot recipe today...

We've already tried the Lemonade Jello Shot recipe.  Today's Jello Shot recipe is similar but different.  You'll still have a lemon flavor but today's Jello Shot recipe will remind you of Lemon Drop candy.  I certainly cannot resist candy and I'll bet your friends and party guests won't be able to resist either.

What you will need to make the
Lemon Drop Jello Shot recipe:

2 ounce clear souffle cups or something to hold your Jello Shots
non-stick cooking spray (if desired)

3 ounce box of Kraft Lemon flavored Jello
3/4  cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
3/4 cup lemon vodka (you can use plain vodka and add a splash of lemon juice)

If you will be using souffle cups to make your Lemon Drop Jello Shots I recommend preparing them by lightly coating the inside of each cup with non-stick cooking spray. This will make the Lemon Drop Jello Shots slide out easily. If you choose to use another type of container for your Lemon Drop Jello Shot recipe you can skip this step.

To begin making the Lemon Drop Jello Shot recipe you will need to combine the Lemon Jello and boiling water in a bowl. Stir the mixture for two minutes, making sure all of the Jello has dissolved.

To create the Lemon Drop candy flavor add the remaining ingredients and stir well.  Congratualations!  You have created some great, candy-tasting Lemon Drop Jello Shots. Pour the Lemon Drop Jello Shot mixture into Jello Shot cups and place in the refrigerator for several hours until firmly set.  This recipe should allow you to create about 12 Lemon Drop Jello Shots in 2 ounce cups.

FUN TIP:  If you want to make the Lemon Drop Jello Shot a little more special add a rim of sugar to the Jello Shot cups before making pouring the Lemon Drop Jello Shot mixture into them.  It is really easy...just dip the rim of the Jello Shot cup into water and then sugar.  The water should help the sugar stick to the rim of the Jello Shot cup.  This step does not work well if you are planning to put lids on your Lemon Drop Jello Shots.
